So if he had resigned, are you saying that Bush would not have invaded Iraq? Instead is it not a better idea to stay on in the position of power and thwart war attempts by the neocons at every closed door meeting.

If I were you, I would do what Gen. Powell did. Stay on and fight until I get fired. I would go down as a fighter instead of going down meekly.

Just a difference of style.
