Editor's Corner - Jul 28, 2006 - - Repeat after me: "I don't know"

This is a clarification of the comments that the caller named Beth made on today’s CFRN radio show. I’m still shaking from the confrontation, and I’m upset at myself for allowing my emotions to get the best of me. But guess what? I don’t care about that. My emotions are real, and they are heartfelt. I stand by my comments about the so-called CMKX “board gurus,” who week after week, month after month, and even year after year spout off dates that never materialize for money that never arrives in bank accounts to people who in many cases are desperate and hurting, and at the end of their financial and emotional rope.
For the last time: I care about the CMKX shareholders. I CARE ABOUT THE SHAREHOLDERS. I don’t believe that they are stupid or unable to make their own decisions, I believe that they are for the most part intelligent, caring, kindhearted people who have been deceived by a system that is built for deception, and that they’ve been lied to, robbed, and cheated out of their money. I HOPE AND PRAY THAT IN THE END, THEY ARE SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY REDEEMED AND REWARDED FOR THEIR HEARTACHE AND FOR THE MISFORTUNE THAT HAS BEEN DUMPED UPON THEM BY AN INCREDIBLY RUTHLESS GROUP OF CRIMINALS AIDED AND ABETTED BY A FINANCIAL SYSTEM RUN AMUCK.
But that doesn’t give the people who are making predictions…not just predictions, but “guarantees” that a massive payout will suddenly solve everyone’s financial woes in three days…it doesn’t give people the right to spread unfounded rumors week after week. That’s just cruel, plain and simple. What if I showed up at your doorstep and held up a giant check for a million dollars from Publisher’s Clearing House and said that this money would be deposited in your account in three days, and all your financial worries would be over? But then, instead of giving you that check, as your situation continued to worsen week by week, I just send you an email saying that same thing over and over again for two years…”check’s in the mail”…”check’s in the mail”…”check’s in the mail.” That would be cruel, and there are many people who would say that I contributed to your problems by filling you with false hope.
LET ME SAY THIS: If you are one of the people who keep spreading this crap week after week, look inside of your own heart. If you’ve made “promises” dozens of times, only to let people down, only to have your promises not be fulfilled, and if you truly care about your friends on the message boards, THEN STOP MAKING THE PROMISES! Some might laugh off what you say, but others grasp at your words and take them to heart, and are filled with false hope. If you truly believe that at some point, the shareholders will be rewarded, then say simply: “I truly believe that at some point the shareholders will be rewarded, but because I’ve been wrong about dates…because I’ve been proven wrong time after time about the amounts and the dates, I will no longer make predictions that I obviously have no right to make.” THE END.
Again: I hope and pray that this works out for the shareholders of CMKX, and every other shareholder who has been screwed by a corrupt system. They deserve for it to work out. Period. I’m just sick and tired of people who continue to lie to people who have been lied to too many times by too many people already. Have some compassion for the shareholders, quit making predictions that have obviously not come true for the past two years. When it happens…IF it happens, then it happens. Until then, do the right thing. To use Beth’s own words (which were directed at me) from the show today “Stand down!” As long as you continue to deceive people, I will continue to expose your deceptions. I’M NOT SAYING NOTHING WILL EVER HAPPEN, I’M JUST SAYING TO QUIT FILLING THE SHAREHOLDERS WITH FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT DATES AND AMOUNTS…QUIT FILLING SHAREHOLDERS WITH FALSE HOPE.
Have some compassion for the thousands of people who deserve at the very least to know the truth, even if that truth is simply “I don’t know.”
As for me, well, let me put it this way: Bob Maheu once told me that he gets up no later than six o’clock in the morning, and when I asked him how he got by on that amount of sleep, he told me, “If you go to bed with a clear conscience, you don’t need much sleep.” Based on that, I intend to sleep very well tonight. I hope all of the “board gurus” can say the same thing.
To all of the CMKX message board gurus: You’re invited to next week’s show. Accadacca, Roddy, Mano, ELO, Carquest, Jay Adobe, whoever the heck is still out there making weekly predictions of massive payouts that up to now haven’t come true, come on to the show and explain yourselves. I’ll even let you come on and hide behind your fake identities, and I’m certain DeWayne will be okay with that. But be prepared to explain why you’ve continued to do the things you have done for years, and continued to say the things you’ve said that have been proven wrong time and again.
In closing, here’s my promise: If there is a monetary payout between now and next Friday, if money magically shows up in CMKX shareholders’ accounts, I will come on the air and publicly apologize to every board guru, and then hang up the phone and never do another show for CFRN. Will an undetermined payout happen sometime in the unforeseeable future? I hope so, but the truth is…“I don’t know.”
And neither do you....and that’s the Faulking Truth.
