Only a few key locations need to be fixed to swing control of congress. If we see Ohio again in five different races in five states, then yeah, there could be a much bigger response. It'll be Mexico redux. What happens, though, also depends on how the media handle it, right?
If we have a crisis( machine breakdowns, inadequate voting machines, wholesale destruction of provisional ballots, voter roll scrubs, exit poll overrides) that drags out the results into the new year in some locations, then congress might be convening without knowing who is in control. Since the speakership and all the committee chairs could be in question, congress could not operate until it is resolved. Sounds like an extreme scenario, maybe, but I suppose it could happen. We could see Florida all over again, with GOP goon squads, intense legal battles. Are those domestic detention centers built yet? |
