OT In a lot of areas in the country I would agree with you. Here in the Northwest virtually all of our electricity generation is renewable (hydro and now wind). But I do agree that every conversion reduces total system efficiency. That is why I think the "hydrogen" car is a total waste of time when you look at total system efficiency. Where is all the hydrogen going to come from????
