Are you suggesting justice through some sort of Karma? These forest fires are a disaster for the common Indonesians - not to mention Singaporeans and Malaysians who are affected badly.People are dying from the effects of the pollution. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Busang or Bre-X.

On the matter of Kilborne or (should it be Stillborn). IMHO they should not have accepted the job if it had a narrow brief. The fact is that they signed their name to a resource statement and the numbers that they came up with were what people reacted to. They should have insisted that they do their own sampling to verify the whole basis of the calculation. It doesn't matter that their report may have contained riders or provisos or escape clauses, people's perceptions were that Busang must be OK because Kilborn produced the numbers. Even I, who was sceptical about Bre-X's claims regarding Busang from their very first announcement because I new very well what the first, pre Bre-X, drilling got, started to think that it must be true.

I am very angry at Bre-x (Felderhoff claiming inocence is just laughable - Felderhof and DeGuzzman we as thick (literally) as thieves) because they have stuffed up the exploration investment scene in Indonesia which was starting to pick up very steadily prior to Bre-X's cheating. Things are slowly returning to normal and companies which recognize the geological potential and the relative political stability and the value of a clear-cut mining act and COW system (which has admittedly taken some collateral damage but seems to be still floating) are doing some really good deals.

Of course many of the fly by night Canadian juniors have flown away - attracted by the next flickering candle.

Indonesia has suffered greatly from the actions of Bre-X. The callous greed of those arseholes is just astonishing and what is more, they were and are arrogant to boot.
