I see nothing in james that contradicts any other piece of the bible. I don't see Jmaes saying that salvation isn't by grace and that works save you. I do see him encouraging christians to let their salvation produce fruit in their lives. Quite frankly if a christian spends a bunch of time trying to justify his lack of fruit and he thinks that he can get saved and then spend his life on the couch watching football games, then more power to him. he gets no admonishing from me. that's not my job. Let God take care of it..it's His problem not mine. the world is too full of christians who want to hear and act on God's plan for their life. Too full of chrisitans who want to learn Boy, what a debate...should a christian bear fruit<ggg> it's obvious that they are saved w/o works at all(ESP 28-9). james never said they weren't saved.
