The scientific method of studying the mechanics of the WTC collapse would indeed be a challenge to understand fully what were the physical chain of events that led to the failures. No doubt, structural engineers would be fascinated to learn every facet of this catastrophic collapse. The sheer size of these structures and the historic impact of this event puts this in a most unique category. I have no doubt that most structural engineers who have studied the collapse probably do understand how the failures occurred. Most of what we discuss here are the crackpots who have more of a political edge than science. But for people to conclude that it had to be a controlled demolition simply because it looked like a demolition is not spending enough energy to figure out how those airplanes could, in fact , cause everything that happened. They just conclude it couldnt have happened because they cant explain it and then jump to some really wild speculation that it must be a govt plot to start a war. its disheartening to realize that there are people out there (and here) who are that screwed up in the mind and are this anti-Govt. (Bush)
