I had a young man who worked for me for many years who had been molested when he was a child. He was a brilliant lawyer but his own personal life was so screwed up that it often outweighed his contributions to the firm. He had trouble with anger and alcohol and other substances....multiple DUIs, marital strife...it was a real shame....you could see his problems with depression and self worth...they were written all over his behavior...He finally just dropped out...left work one day and never came back...abandoned his wife and his job...it was a waste of a brilliant mind for sure. J.
