iTV is sort of like Tivo. Tivo is better than the SciAtl and Motorola DVR boxes. iTV will add wireless which will connect all of that to your PC through your wireless network. They will make it easy to choose what movies you record from your PC no matter where you are, instead of having to use your remote in front of your TV to do that. In addition, you'll have true mobility to take movies or shows with you on your iPod, your PC, or your TV. Right now, I record things on my SciAtl DVR, but I can't move those to my PC or to my iPod. What a joke. I should be able to record from anywhere and watch it anywhere. Apple will make that happen. Hopefully, Cisco will compete effectively in this space as well. Let's see. Just keep in mind that SciAtl does alot of things besides make a nice DVR box for your TV. Cisco bought them for many more important things besides that.
