I never said Iraq was closely connected to Al Qaeda.

Pakistan is much more populous than Iraq, its overall has more difficult terrain (including the borderlands which are very rugged). It is ruled by a dictator, but not one that is/was an aggressive thug to the extent that Saddam was, there was no violation of cease fire agreements with the US. Pakistan already has nuclear weapons. There are all sorts of reasons while invading Pakistan would be a very bad idea. And I'm sure you would point them out in great detail if Bush did order such an invasion, but as long as he doesn't actually attack some place, well that that's the place where he should have attacked instead of Iraq...
