In his newly released "Bankrupt: The Intellectual and Moral Bankruptcy of Today's Democratic Party," David Limbaugh exposes today's Democratic Party as a hate-filled political party without a genuine platform. Limbaugh demonstrates with near-ferocity that in an era when so-called "hate speech" is seen in many states as a serious crime, this major political party has made it the linchpin of its political campaigning.
Democrats' target is President Bush and his party. Limbaugh documents in this book that no kind of crazed hate speech is off limits when it comes to the president of the United States or his fellow Republicans.
"The oldest continuous political party in the world is bankrupt," Limbaugh writes in the introduction, noting that Democrats "have few policies beyond attacking President Bush and have lost any legitimate right to claim they are a responsible opposition party."
Limbaugh explains that "the sole unifying theme of today's Democratic Party, its raison d'etre, is its singular hatred of George Bush."
He quotes liberal columnist Jonathan Chait as writing, "I hate President George W. Bush. I hate the way he walks. I hate the way he talks. I even hate the things that everybody seems to like about him."
Raw, unabashed hatred for their opponents seems to be the motivating factor behind the Democrats' efforts to recapture the three branches of government they believe is theirs by divine right.
According to Limbaugh, Democrats picked Howard Dean to head their national committee fully aware of his animus. Just weeks before winning the top DNC job, Dean said, "I hate Republicans and everything they stand for."
Recently, Democrats, fellow liberals, and the media went haywire when Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld compared the war against terrorism to the war against Nazi Germany and fascist Italy. Still, they don't hesitate to liken the president to Adolf Hitler.
"One of the fringe left's favorite smear tactics is to compare President Bush and Republicans to Hitler or Nazis in general," Limbaugh writes.
"Conservative writer Victor Davis Hanson reported that this 'crazy popular analogy' — Bush = Hitler — yielded some 1,350,000 matches on Google."
Limbaugh cites ads from the wildly leftist pro-Democratic Party MoveOn.org, which likened Bush to the late Nazi dictator. "In one ad, Hitler appears ranting in German with the 'translation' on the screen: 'We have taken new measures to protect our homeland. I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator.' Hitler gradually morphs into Bush, who then says, 'God told me to strike at al-Qaida, and I struck them, and then He instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did." |
