Any kind of cease fire violation justifies that the firing no longer cease.

Duh! Taking potshots at US/UK fighter aircraft justifies the taking out of the AA guns. It doesn't justify a full-scale invasion with 3000 dead, 20,000+ injured and $300+ billion down the drain over 3 1/2 long years - and we are still counting!

...it would have made it even easier for the Taliban and Al Qaeda to move back and forth and to operate from Pakistan

Yes, certainly after the recent deal between Musharraf and the Taliban, it would!

As for Al Qaeda - Its never been shown that Iraq had significant ties to Al Qaeda, but its clear that Iraq was connected to and supported terrorism.

Even if that was true, we had no business to attack Iraq as long as we were not targeted. And we weren't. If it was Israel, then let them send their boys and girls to fight and die there. We can't have our boys and girls die there for the sake of Israel. That is NOT what they signed up for.
