Yes, certainly after the recent deal between Musharraf and the Taliban, it would!


Without allying with Musharraf it would have been much easier than the current situation even if the tribes do nothing or support OBL. Al Qaeda fled to and operated from different areas of Pakistan besides the tribal areas. Musharraf went after them. No alliance with Musharrah and you get total freedom for Al Qaeda in all of Pakistan (unless they go after the government)

Even if that was true, we had no business to attack Iraq as long as we were not targeted.

Some of the money went to groups that had killed Americans. In any case it was just one more reason to deal forcefully with Saddam, not the only reason.
