>>Is anyone concerned, as I am, about the tight trading range of the stock price we are now observing for several days. Is this bullish or bearish? Is it proof of price control aka manipulation? Or am I just imagining things?<<

Just guessing here, but I think the current is being dominated by two opposing forces. One, the new iPods do look good and will probably sell well, and the full computer line has never been better. So sales in the current and next quarter should be good.
Two, I think a lot of uncertainty is being created by the Zune announcement and all the attention it's getting. I think this concern is overblown. My own opinion is that even if Zune garners some market share, and even if that market share comes partly at the expense of Apple, that will be happening within a growing market. Apple will be able to continue to sell more iPods as the market expands, even if they lose a few points of share.
Of course, that's just my opinion.
