Framing the PR has not been Bush's strong suit.
Of course, appealing to the irrational Arab world is a waste of time anyway.

Part of the problem is the lack of discussion of News as entertainment and the politicisation of the news. Too often political editorializing is made a part of the news without any differentiation between the actual events and the opinion of the talking head involved. Often reporters have an agenda. CNN is usually on the left of any argument, and the recent lebanon/Israel war is a good example. The news from lebanon was constantly monitored and censored by Hizbollah, the news from Israel portrayed what the media wanted you to see. Thus the damage in Lebanon was huge and the damage to Israel of no consequence. But I note that the cost to israel to build it's defenses and to make sure every building had a safe room are totally ignored.
