You are mistaken or lying ... again. I banned myself yesterday for agreeing with Laz, who told another poster 'GFY'.

I try to be careful in using labels. Like calling someone a moron which can be taken literally as someone who is very low IQ or in reference to them not using their brains, or just to lash out at someone you have a personality conflict with.

That thread was designed as a place for people to raise the level of discourse to one that focuses as much as possible on the rationale behind view points on current events, politics, ideas or what ever. I think name calling and personal attacks get in the way of that goal, so I made that the purpose of the thread. It may be impossible not to feel upset with other posters on a thread like that, designed for people to take opposing sides. But it is possible to keep the focus on the topic and information that improves everyone's understanding of the topics being discussed, anyway. It requires self discipline to withhold personal attacks or harrassment of people you don't like and no one is forced to participate.

I can participate in personal attacks (and have) on other forums without being a hypocrite. I can call you names here or in PM without being a hypocrite.

However, there is no hypocrisy in me calling you a bigot, as your conduct seems to me to be quite bigotted. It's not the same as picking an offensive word to name call with. If you think I got that wrong, I am open to hearing how.

bigot: one who regards or treats the members of a group with hatred and intolerance
