I don't know if this author is just ignorant of basic Christian theology, is deliberately concealing a darker intent, or if this reflects a problem of definition.

I imagine that he's just trying to accentuate the positive by finding what they have in common.

WRONG! Jesus isn't a prophet, he's 1/3 of the God Head.

Jesus was a prophet, I think. He is widely recognized as a prophet. I don't see how you can say he wasn't a prophet. And that makes it a commonality, seems to me.

That he is 1/3 of the God Head to some represents a difference but I don't see any reason to make that difference any bigger than it is by claiming he was not also a prophet. You can argue that he is not JUST a prophet, but surely not that he was not a prophet.
