<<Yahoo sees weakness, stock tumbles
Online media giant's CFO cites softness in auto and financial advertising; Google shares also hit.>>

I believe this will prove largely Yahoo specific. Besides their poor general execution, I've been watching for potential consequences from Yahoo largely nuking their stock message boards with a horrendous forced format change that sent thousands fleeing to alternative boards. This might be seen most prominently in financial sector which they're noting is one of the places of weak advertising. Further, auto and financial rely a lot on banner and other non-text ads which are a smaller issue with GOOG. So while I can't say GOOG will be completely unaffected by what Yahoo is noting, I do feel the effect on GOOG will be small to possibly none. Furthermore these other boards that disgusted Yahoo stock message board people fled too are highly likely to have an embedded GOOG search window as opposed to the Yahoo search window which of course was staring at you if you're on their site. Is GOOG speaking at this same conference as Yahoo?
