Is that what we're calling torture these days?

I'm not against torture, in the VERY rare cases where it is called for. Those would be where you positively KNOW the person is concealing information that would save lives in the future. Then, you get a willing Liddy-type to torture the individual (no need for an explicit ORDER), with the understanding that if he's exposed, he's on his own. If caught, he goes to jail like a good Ollie North. That's how we've always done it.

Our chimp Nero wants to torture SUSPECTS. That's unAmerican and simply immoral. I think part of the problem is that Bush simply lacks finesse. The rest of the world knows what we're doing, isn't fooled and it makes us look VERY bad.
