CB, I don't want to beat a dead horse (at least not TOO much <G>), but I think the point of your outrage, namely taxing people for their religion, is a cultural thing, not necessarily bad in and of itself. Just different. We Americans find intrusion based on religion to be obnoxious, but we allow much worse intrusions based on other factors, such as different incomes.
Other differences we can all agree are outrageous, regardless of cultural differences. Like using mosques as hiding places during warfare, using kids as shields, or cutting people's heads off in the name of Allah.
But, I agree. Arguing over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin isn't worth much of our time.
"If that's the level of discernment you want to use, let's just let the whole thing drop."
Beats admitting you're wrong, huh? <GGG> |
