It's absolute nonsense listening to the liberals claim that anyone outside the US can do whatever they like, contrary to the interests of the US. Saddam can gas his own population, Chavez can rule as despot for the rest of his life, Islamic leaders can ruthlessly chop the heads off non believers and enforce conversion, etc... Meanwhile, the whole world begs for our leadership, yet we are supposed to do nothing.

The more I look at the situation with the Pope, the timing of his comments seem increasingly bizzarre. Why is President Bush having to get in front of the UN to defend the West against Islam? Maybe this is a huge opportunity for Bush to finally deliver the point that we are trying to rescue Muslims from intolerant radicals. We'll worry about semantics later, but we need to isolate the jihadis as the bad guys right now.
