1) For Muslims, every word in the Koran was put there by order of Allah Himself, and no word can be removed or explained away.
The Koran is perfect (according to Muslims).
I couldn't COUNT the number of times I've heard Christians say that the Bible is the Revealed Word of God, Divinely Inspired, and every word is meant to be there by him. In fact, the Bible ITSELF says that no one shall alter one word of it. And this is in line with writings I've seen by Christians.
And if that is NOT true, YOU'VE got an even bigger problem: What do you believe? Which parts came from God and which didn't? What can you safely ignore? At least the Muslims are clear about it (the Christian Bible is too, but THAT'S your problem).
Do you pick and chose based on your OWN beliefs and morals and ethics? Why, you're no better than those atheists!
2) The Koran orders Muslims to convert non-believers or force them to otherwise submit by paying a special tax which is levied on non-believers only, or else they must die.
Funny. RCG quoted a passage and gave a link to it that explicitly says otherwise.
3) The Koran tells Muslims that they don't have to do this in places where they are in a minority of the population, only in places where they have numeric superiority.

4) It is true that other religions have historically converted non-believers by the use of force, but the Koran is the ONLY holy book with the requirement that non-believers be converted by the use of force.

Yeah, and you want to know what one of those "other religions" was? CHRISTIANITY!
5) If Muslims can figure out a way to distance themselves from this provision in the Koran, more power to them.
