Stopped on the way to buy me some decoys, I liked to hunt back then. 2 days later he's in a coma and the family is there. They left and I was there on the "death watch". TVs on and Da Bears were winning. Dad wakes up because the Bears are winning. We had dinner and then talked most of the night. I had a headache and they gave me free pills. After my dad died I bought a large box of Fannie Mae Candies for the nurses. My dad and I had a night of talking, really man to man because he was dying, no bullshit involved, it gets pretty honest at that point. Next morning things went kaput and I watched his eyes glaze over.
