Doh! Of course I knew that it was gasoline prices that matter, but I was typing fast before my boss came to visit. Gas prices do have an imperfect and time-lagged relationship with oil prices, but I was only reporting on others' conspiracy theories. I am more inclined to debunking conspiracy theories than promulgating them. LC
