Its all about the PR firms that Free radio has hired to spin the whole thing out of control.

An interesting moment on FREE radio here in San Diego today.. I was listening to KYXY Arbitron #1.

It was about a 60 second informative (commercial?). The announcer on the "commercial" was talking about a drive that he takes to Tucson quite often. He went on about the only radio out there in the desert is some AM station with some talk show host talking about really weird things. So he mentioned that he uses his IPOD to play a special play list that he has created on his IPOD and that it was a perfect companion for his trips when he is out of range of quality FREE RADIO. Now, there was no mention of where to actually buy an IPOD. No, go to apple.com, or visit these retailers, etc. He kept saying how he got great music in the middle of no where without monthly subscription fees.

It appeared to be more of a "anti sat radio" commercial than a Apple commercial.

It appears that Free Radio has taken the gloves off, and is going after SDARS in a serious way.

And so it goes,
