Hong Kong is NOT China.. Hong Kong is the product of Western Values, not those of your masters in Bejing. Just because they currently need you, doesn't mean they respect you, or perceive your system in Hong Kong as appropriate to the rest of China. Your usefulness to them will not last forever and the more your success is contrasted to the poverty in the rest of China, it's inevitable there will be heightened social tensions that can no longer be ignored by the party elite.
