Hamoon, come, come, I believe the certainly evil Saddam was, in the main, for most part of his recorded history, a US client, and a more than casual pal of Rummy's, no?

And by this following sentence, did you mean USA or China?

<<Now oil is one thing Tobaja, but China [USA] was the second largest seller of the weapons that Saddam utilized to repress his own people as well as to intimidate his neighbors.>>

If China only supplied 18 whatever % of Iraq's war toys, who supplied the other 82%. Do the initials USA mean anything to you?

:0)))))

<<founded in some basis of legitimacy>>

... btw, you had earlier mentioned Chavez and Venezuela. Do you believe Chavez's position is founded in 'some basis of legitimacy'. If you do not have the time to expand on an answer, a complicated yes or no will suffice. Is Venezuela one of the enemies you referred to that China is somehow enabling? Are you against Venezuelan democracy? If so, then why not same stand against Florida?

<<Tibet ...>>

You meant N.Americans, no?
