I just hooked up to Verizon DSL and need to know if I should leave the modem on when I'm away from home for a week or two. I can't find the answer on their web site and it is really hard to get a real person to talk to over the phone. I shut down my computer for a two week vacation but left the modem on.

I'd appreciate any comments on the proper procedure.
