Really? Then how do you explain the death of so many children?

Its a low number for a war. We killed far more in WWII even after adjusting for the size of the war. Were we aiming at children? Sure you have "smart bombs" now, but sometimes they miss, sometimes the target information is faulty (so they hit but the wrong target), and while most of the time they hit the right target they effect an area. 500 lbs bombs aren't sniper's bullets.

And please, don't give me the latest GOP talking paper that Hezbollah was hiding behind civilians.

They often were. Why do you have a problem recognizing that fact?

Hospitals were hit; ambulances with clearly marked crosses on their tops were hit; bomb shelters were hit; roads and bridges were taken out so people could not escape the death and destruction, etc.

Hospitals can be launching points for rockets, or can be hit by mistake. Life is full of mistakes, wars happen fast and with a lot of stress (and with people trying to violently stop you) so they tend to have a lot more mistakes than most activities.

Ambulances. Some of the pictures were clearly faked.

Here are two different video's taken of UN ambulances helping to transport armed militants in Gaza.

** The first video clip shows the crazy life in Gaza where everyone runs around with an AK47 strapped on their back and if you're lucky you get a lift from the UN ambulance driver to your next gig.
** The second video shows armed militants setting up a rocket and then running back and loading up their weapons in the back of a UN ambulance before taking off in a getaway.

Yes that last link references Gaza not Lebanon, but it could have also happened there. It isn't even really rare in Gaza.

Bomb shelters - I don't think shelters were available for most people in Lebanon. I haven't seen anything about a shelter being hit. If it was it isn't evidence of intent to kill civilians any more than the shelter we hit in the gulf war in the 90s was an attempt to kill civilians. Shelters that allow civilians can also be used for military purposes.

Roads and bridges are legitimate military targets.
