No But Canada did not act to prevent it either, and since it happened to other Canadians I believe the Canadian Government is complicit in the rendering. They knew it was going to happen and they went along with the US deporting their citizen to Syria. Once he was there they did their best to get any information that the Syrians managed to torture out of him. Did the US have men in constant contact with the Syrian Prison trying to get all the information? Canada did. Canada's rep was in Syria, he knew what Syrian prisons were like. He left Arar there for a year, but you are convinced Canadians were not a fault.
