The one way that Oprah can help is if she advertises for XM on her show whether or not she is on xm-------her endorsements for products makes women check them out. Certainly Stern told subscribers he was leaving radio for satellite. His listeners were ready to buy and follow him. Oprah has a very good television presence------the hairdos, the clothes, the people she interviews, her presentations----those are the things that keep people coming back to television----and most of the people who follow her are women. e.g. Her recent show about fitting blue jeans on women of various sizes works on television because of the visual with taking a woman, having a designer to work with getting her into the right fit. Radio does not lend itself to this kind of effect. mj
