The one way that Oprah can help is if she advertises for XM on her show whether or not she is on xm-------her endorsements for products makes women check them out.

Exactly. I don't watch her show, but this is clearly part of the deal. For example, Oprah & Friends will appear for the full hour on Larry King Live next week, the night before the show goes live. Her website has has a front-page promotion for the show for months. And there is undoubtedly more to come.

All these things add up.

Stern was more important to Sirius as a brand enhancement than as a content item. By a mile. While Oprah obviously won't generate the kind of buzz Stern did, XM is paying her only about 15% what Sirius paid Stern -- they have not bet the entire business on Oprah.

e.g. Her recent show about fitting blue jeans on women of various sizes works on television because of the visual with taking a woman, having a designer to work with getting her into the right fit. Radio does not lend itself to this kind of effect.

You understand this isn't a replay of her TV show, right?
