It was somewhat different. It isn't forgotten, just ask any Ukranian. What happened to the Ukranians was so Stalinesque.

Of course, its not forgotten......but its not forgotten only by the Ukrainians. I suspect if you asked the average American about the Russian genocide of the Ukrainians, s/he probably wouldn't know what it was whereas few Americans do not know about the Holocaust. But its not just the Ukrainians........Hitler executed en masse the Romanies, the Greeks and Turks and gays. Very little is ever said about them.

But that isn't the real issue.......what surprised me is that he chose to present a softer image than what is typical for him and he went out of his way to explain his position on issues such as the one above. It doesn't change the fact he's a butthole but it wasn't what I was expecting. I guess he's more of a politician than I thought.
