RLTR in the Hollywood reporter... hollywoodreporter.com Sep. 18, 2006 B'band powers new ReelTime rental service ReelTime Rentals' broadband network formally kicked off its service this month with content that includes movies and programs from PorchLight Entertainment. Among the content that became viewable on-demand is "Doodlez" and Anthony Lucas' animated short "The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello," which was nominated this year for an Academy Award. All content is streamed rather than downloaded, which ReelTime CEO Barry Henthorn said provides an experience more like television. His company's proprietary technology eliminates buffering and enables DVR-type controls while delivering DVD quality, he added. "Go to any and all of our competitors and watch the quality of their video, then come to (ReelTime.com) and watch content on our player," he said.
