XM is turning a profit on the O&A show, every day. Sirius is losing a half million on Stern alone every day Stern shows up for work.

Yet another classic example of Mr. Ray just Making stuff up that sounds good and presenting it as FACT. And where is kovachs to call Mr. Ray on these OPINIONS that he keeps posting as FACTS? Maybe he is looking for his objectivity (and credibility) in the basement.

You will notice that, as usual, Mr. Ray makes wild claims, but doesn't provide a single link or data point to support his OPINIONS that he has presented as FACT.

However, the FACTS are that as of nine months ago.. Spokesmen for SIRI indicated that Stern had been accrediated with ~1.1 million new subscribers.

Now simple math will show you that 1.1 million subscribers multiplied by the $155 dollars a year subscription fee equals $170 million dollars a year in subscription reveune. (Which does not include ad revenue). While the costs of production, and staff has been quoted at 100 million a year.

So you have AT LEAST $170 million dollars a year in revenue that was accrediated with Stern NINE MONTHS AGO. And stated expenses of ~$100 million a year.

But somehow Mr. Ray uses his Rayian Logikā„¢ to deduce that SIRI is losing a Half a million dollars a day on Stern. (130 million dollars annually). Hint.. this is the same way he calculates his own home grown CPGA numbers and claims they are a FACT.

Now simple math skills will show you that Mr. Ray is just making up this stuff and presenting it as a FACT.

Yet, XM's Major League Baseball deal costs XM 60 million a year, plus, plus, plus.

Oh! And don't forget.. That XM could pay MOER than the 60 million a year to MLB.. Because, XM must make incentive payments to MLB for subscribers obtained through MLB and baseball club verifiable promotional programs.

Yes folks.. There are INCENTIVE PAYMENTS on top of the stated 60 million dollar a year payment.

So while basic math skills will show you that STERN is MAKING A PROFIT at this point. It appears that the incentive payments for subscribers added by MLB don't even warrant a line item.

Why Mr. Ray is having such a problem with these basic math skills is a real question mark.. Unless his own SELF-BITTERNESS and SELF IMPORTANCE COMPLEX is skewing his objectivity.

And then, we can compare the other lost opportunity costs.

Stern costs SIRI bandwidth for 1 audio channel a couple hours a day, five days a week.. While MLB costs XM the bandwidth for over 16 channels almost everyday of the week during the MLB Season. Heck, with the bandwitdh savings.. SIRI could launch something like the ALL WHO channel.

And so it goes,
