BTW - why don't you come up with something that supports any kind of decent numbers for Oprah.

I don't buy into the notion that you attribute subscribers to a single content item; doing so suggests that the programming is too dependent on a single person (e.g., as Sirius is with Stern).

I have no interest in investing in a business, the fate of which, hinges on one person.

That said, you are totally underestimating Oprah's following. She has at least twice the weekly viewers that Stern had listeners -- and well more than twice the promotional power. At the same time, I'm sure she won't be hawking XM the way Stern did Sirius (which I found offensive, to be honest).

But at a small fraction of the cost of Stern, there is little doubt the Oprah channel will easily pay for itself with new subscribers, and the risk to XM is NOTHING compared with the risk Sirius took with Stern. A concept you surely don't comprehend, having your head up Stern's ass so far you can't see.
