If a post lacks intelligent rational or substantive support for a position then you could apply that to the post. The terminology is somewhat offensive but does not qualify as namecalling. Its kind of like the opposite of clicking the 'recommend button'.

If you are simply saying the poster himself is dumb, that would be name calling and according to the rules of this thread qualifies you to get a ban.

I'm still wallowing in the gray area here. Which is it?
