I'm reading "Stephen Hawking's Universe - The Cosmos Explained", which is the companion book to the PBS series they did on Hawking. It is written by David Filkin. I find it a very well written book. Giving some good examples of the various aspects that Hawking discusses. I enjoy summary books about various things and have really enjoyed the discussions about the origins of the universe, black holes, singularities, the size of the universe, etc, etc. I'm not going to do the PHD mathematics to try and understand the nuances, but this book is a great summary about a wide range of things.
