I haven't read that book, but I read Hawking's "A Brief History of Time," which was the most lucid explanation of the Cosmos I've seen.

Knowing of my interest in Hawking, my mother got me a video of the same name. It was more about his disability that his brilliant thinking, and I was disappointed.
