They bought them from Muslims in Africa

Actually, in the 17th century, the Spanish and Portuguese were the leading slave traders, then the British became the leading slave traders in most of the 18th century. For the North American slave trading market anyway.

Jews weren't even received in Polite Society

In some polite society. People like Franklin and Washington addressed Jews in synagogues, and had some correspondence with them.

Of course Catholics were not very popular either

That is an understatement. In some ways, Catholics were even more hated and discriminated against than Jews in the 18th and a good part of the 19th century. In part of course because there were so many more of them. And they were much wealthier. And didn't accept their "place" in society with as much, um, what is the word, "grace"(?), resignation(?), as Jewish people tended to.
