As you and I see the rhetoric on both sides (in which we participate) doesn't it amaze you that all the vehement arguments, all the personal attacks, etc., could all be rendered moot very simply with facts, with openess, and a revamp of the system to reflect trading reality and technological advancements such that a level playing field could be created, one that is less controlled by manipulation, moneyed interests, irrespective of the technique, long, short, hedged, etc.

I really can't understand why some people are so opposed to progress and fairness. If there is no problem, it will come out as such. In any controversial argument, there is almost always truth (and falsity) on both sides.
