The sad thing is, I get the sense that plenty of people (on all sides) would happily chime in affirmation without any pause. Most of them, of course, are just blowhards (elsewhere as here <g>). Unfortunately maybe one in a thousand blowhards becomes a Bin Laden, trying to make his lunatic fantasies of domination and destruction true... and plenty of rulers are happy to use even the most wild threats from the most powerless fanatic reason to clamp down on all of us, so that the deranged rantings of powerless nutters on a jihadi site become cause for derogation of the Constitution or the suspension of Magna Carta. Honestly, it's as though a three-year-old having a tantrum said "I wish you were dead!" - and suddenly every parent in the land were ordered to hand in their toddlers for chipping, fingerprinting and registration as potential murderers...
