One of the main reasons is, I think most people, the masses, I mean, on all sides, lead such hum drum lives with no sense of personal worth, low esteem, etc., that they are easily fanned into patriotic fervor, fever, whatever, for war because they think they will become worthwhile to a cause. They just don't stop and think. They don't seem to realize they are being used instead.. :(
And because of not pausing to think at first, we, all, others, get dragged into tragic quagmires that are hard to get out of.. |
