I don't support "no to" because I don't consider posts to someone to be harassment. Its one thing if the posts themselves are nasty or personal (which is why I can accept a "no about") but discussions of issues in a public forum (everyone can read, and for the most part anyone can post) shouldn't be free from reply.

You can think of the thread as some semi-public debate club. Everyone is invited but if someone acts up they can be shown the door. If someone is going to make a statement in such a forum they should expect replies. If they don't want replies they shouldn't make the statement in such a forum.

I suppose if there is extreme hostility between too people, that posts between them could be subject to greater scrutiny, but I don't think a reasonably polite reply that only addresses the issues (not the individual) should result in a banning.

I'm not so hostile to the "no to or about" that I would leave the thread just for mentioning the policy, but I don't like the policy (even if I can live with "no about"). It would only potentially become a real issue if it is implemented, and then I would have to see how it was implemented. My response might range from accepting the particular application (if someones post where really harassment) to a simple statement of disagreement, to serious argument/complaint against, to leaving the thread.

I'm guessing the application would not be so arbitrary as to cause me to leave the thread, but if "no to or abouts" become common here I probably will leave.
