Felix,
While news that the ValiMed unit is being selected by another hospital is good, it clearly isn't enspiring the Street. I wonder if we're not wasting money on PR's of this type. Perhaps it would have greater impact if monthly or quarterly we announced all the institutions that had installed the equipment.
I'm never quite sure when such announcements are made whether it's for a single unit, or if the major hospitals are putting units practically everywhere that drugs are dispensed, which could be several units.
Could you imagine a PR announcement every time GM or Ford sold a car, yet both these companies are losing billions. I think the point we need to get accross is that ValiMed or improvements on it are the units that eventually will find its way into most hospitals and eventually most pharmacies.
If competition develops, I'm not certain that's a bad thing as it gets people looking at which unit they need, not so much do they need a unit. I can remember when for business purposes the TRS-80 was the only PC around, people were asking did they need one. Then along came IBM and it's clones, in practically no time the question wasn't do we need one, but rather, which one do we buy.
I'm really not saying stop the PR's, rather I'm trying to open discussion about what function they're serving. I don't know if it's true today, but at one time I was told the average PR cost $35K, if that's true today I certainly question its worthyness.
