I always question the home offices that are neat and spiffy...Either there was either a heck of a rush before the guests came to make it look like a designer room, OR nothing ever happens in there, which makes me wonder if there is anything "real" that goes on in the homeowners brain.

In addition to all the non-profit "stuff" I do, I also do genealogy, have about 20 major projects underway, and am gathering info for a couple of books someday. Plus am helping compile info for a couple more books that others are doing. So I don't know how to keep all of that "neat"....I just have to be able to find everything.

Of course, I'd probably be neater with those projects if I had a large room, a desk for each 5 projects, and 4 file cabinets for each of those 5 projects. That might happen in my next life! <heheheh>

In reality, my house is clean and picked up too...except in that room. It's even dusted in that room....but gotta admit, that is an effort. All those "memory icons" have to be dusted... At least I enjoy them... when I'm gone, most of them won't mean much to my kids and grands.

Are you a painter, and an investor as well? Great combo!
