Today's bond market is quite different than it used to be IMHO.

Whatever the reason the bond market no longer serves as an arena where investors can get reasonable inflation and risk adjusted returns on their money.

The bond market's main function seems to be to keep the the overly leveraged economy and financial markets elevated as long as possible.

The bond vigilantes are long dead.

Today we have bond vampires who suck money from the prudent and thrifty to finance all kinds of speculative behavior at give away interest rates.
