$70 billion more OK'd for Afghan, Iraq wars

WASHINGTON — House-Senate negotiators Thursday approved a new $70 billion infusion for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan as they wrapped up talks on a $447 billion Pentagon funding bill.

The additional war funds would bring the total approved by Congress for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since Sept. 11, 2001, to more than $500 billion, with another installment likely to come next spring.

....

We have now officially wasted 1/2 trillion dollars in this fisaco.
That is what they admit to.
Given the nature of off book crapola I think the figure is now 3/4 trillion!

What a waste.
Anyone rememeber when an administration official was fired for proposing the war might cost as much as a 100 billion? The nonsense from Rumsfeld at the time was at most $40 billion with oil revenues to potentially pay for all of that.

Well done Bush!
