Chavez is right about one thing. Bush thinks he runs the world and makes the laws, that he is above the law. And he's not only wrong but immoral, dishonest, bad for our country maybe even a bit insane.

This new pro-torture bill proves it. Bush has unilaterally declared that the Geneva Convention doesn't exist for him and him only. So what are other countries to think? If laws no longer apply to the US president, then why should they apply to anyone? Bush is showing more and more signs of wanting to be a dictator, and he's serious about it.

How much do you want to bet that if a new congress impeaches Bush he'll simply say that those laws don't apply to him? Ditto to any huge corruption scandals he's found guilty of. Of course Cheney's neo-fascist type hardline arrogance is at the heart of this. Cheney in fact may be the real president.
