I don't remember the circumstances but Madeline Albright learned something similar while she was in office and it didn't create the same visceral reaction from her. She didn't, but I recall a bunch of SI conservatives making a big deal about her saying it. MO it's what appears to be Allen's gut reaction - a very negative one... I just mentioned to our boy Ichy, that the only two people that have made a negative association with Allen being of Jewish Heritage are Allen and Ichy. I think Allen, Mel Gibson and the Pope ought to get together over some tea [or wine] and have a nice chat about their feelings. Ichy would fit in nicely, but he's not well known enough to get an invitation. jttmab
